HA HA HA HA!

Would like to take a moment to give a gentle reminder that stealing bandwidth through hotlinking images is NOT a nice thing to do. Something might happen. Something wonderful and ass-spreading.

I LOVE YOU GOATSE!

T-shirt p-blog of the Friday + horsies!

This is the E6 shirt I was hoping to receive before Comic-Con, but didn’t.

It’s pretty sweet.  I’ll wear it when I stalk Dick Valentine.

The mustangs have been coming into the landscaped areas and nomming lately.  It looks like some of them can use a lot more nomming.  Even though Haley wants to kill them all, I think the wild horses are kinda neat.

Here is some of the main herd.  One of them dropped a paint foal on Thursday, but I didn’t get a picture of it yet.

Here are the three that hang out by my house.  They look a bit nicer.

Rick took some pictures of them today out the window but I haven’t downloaded them yet.  They were stalking this guy flying a model plane.  It was really funny when the guy started getting nervous.

Oh, and here – have a monster short bus.

Day 2: the p-blog

Posted in Uncategorized on July 28th, 2009

So, I tried to get up earlier on Friday to get my badge sooner and see more shit.  I grabbed my $8 coffee and Rick & I got in line.

The line was still from hell.

These people were awesome:

I attended a few panels – the Neil Gaiman Coraline one was pretty amazing.  I believe the big spoiler was that Henry Selick told Neil Gaiman that he wanted to do Sandman as stop motion.  SWEET!

Caught a bitchin’ panel on underground comix, Denis Kitchen was there and Lee Marrs told me she liked my hat!  I got a card that will get me a limited edition Pudge Girl Blimp drawing when I email her my address. :)

Since I have no idea where my old autographed Pinhead photo disappeared to, I went ahead and picked up a new one… and had my picture taken with Doug Bradley.  Awwwwwww, me and Pinhead!

Fat Momma from Who Wants to be a Superhero was in the booth next to him.

Then I went to the Amanda Palmer drawing thing.  I am totally scared of her fans.  They’re rabid like Tori Amos fans.  (Bad experience with a little entitlement whore putting on a very affected speech pattern and trying to cut in line.  I had to do a little Schruting.)  Ugh.

Once I got in, it was all good.  Miss Palmer did some kick ass poses & the panel drew her.  I honestly did more source photo shit than drawing.  I just used my sketchpad to get down little details like the way her boots laced, since I wasn’t sure I’d get that kinda stuff with the photos from where I was sitting.

AFP poses:

Then I think I just farted around looking at shit & collecting free garbage I’m just going to throw out (Except the giant Watchmen bag!  Unf!) until it was time for the fearnet panel that was supposed to have Clive Barker in it.  Well… Clive got caught in traffic from L.A. so all we had to start was Robert Englund.  That’s cool. :)

englund

The panel had that one scary guy & the pretty girl from the Halloween remake.

fearnet

WOOT!  Then Clive showed up!

OMG – the CUTEST thing in the whole world – Robert Englund & Clive Barker together!

Caught up with Rick after that & thought about trying to get across downtown to the Brain Posehn show, but were lazy & went to the movie room to watch the movie Push instead.  That was a really cool little flick – if you haven’t seen it, do so.

Then it was back to the hotel & chips + m&ms in the con suite.  NERD FOOD!  Went to bed early-ish because tomorrow was the big day – the day I would try to meet Clive Barker.

Weirdos:

What is the movie Snake Eyes made of?  Why FAIL, of course!

mouth-fail

Yes – that’s a FUCKING MOUTH!  What a suckfest.

Okay, that’s enough bloggy for tonight…  maybe tomorrow I’ll recap my Saturday.  You know, the day that David Tennant tells me things in the elevator.

Attention, True Believers!

Comic-Con is complete:

Yeah, I know it’s a shitty picture, but it’ll do.

Stan Lee KISSED me!

Intermission- Clive Barker

Posted in Uncategorized on July 25th, 2009

I just met Clive Barker.  And started crying.

Yeah, it’s as lame as hell, but that man was a huge fucking part of my formative years.  I think his work, Grendel & Elfquest (stop laughing fuckers) created the written part of who I am today.  We won’t go into the soundtrack.

Thinking of some analogy to describe what it meant to me & the only thing I can come up with is: It would be like a christian getting to meet Jesus.

I mean, it’s an imperfect analogy because the man is not my god, but it’s the best I can think of.  He transported me to world I had only imagined where the monsters were the heroes and the “good guys” did NOT always win in the end. Hell, most of the time the “good guys” weren’t all that good. There is really no strict division between good and evil in a Clive Barker world.  There are just things that are the way they are.

So, I started crying & then tried to get my emotions under control & told him that my best friend in college bought me that copy of Imajica he was signing back in 1991 and it was my most favorite book. But, of course, since I was all blubbery & shit, I forgot to ask him about his parrots.  Lamer.

Made my con, it did.

Okay, I have to get back to Line-a-con & stand in more lines, so the standing next to David Tennant in the elevator story will have to wait.   Just had to get that out.

P-blog of the weekend before

Holy shit.  So close to time to go!

If anyone wants anything from Comic-Con, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

Today was hurr did day again.

Robert is doing muh hurr:

Oh, I don’t think I showed off my bitchin’ Doc sandals yet:

Friday was Leonard Cohen tour shirt:

The facebook is kinda becoming my online “thing” now,  btw.

So… if you’re on the facebook, type my online name after the url and add me. :)

Oh, and though I was hoping to save space by going to smaller cell phone pictures -  it’s just annoying me.  So I set the camera phone back to the bigger size. Yay?

Okay, finally updated my wordpress.

Now I just have to update the whole site theme to include widget compatability. *sigh*

I’m easily amused

Here’s Galen’s awesome idea from the facebook:

1. Start with Left 4 Dead

2. Replace all weapons with slapping attacks

3. Replace all zombie models with half naked women, nuns, and policemen

4. Replace writing-on-wall textures with terrible puns and one-liners

5. Replace music with Yakety Sax

Result: Benny Hill, The Video Game

I seriously just spammed messaged that to everyone I play L4D with on the steam.

This makes everything better.

Rolling

When you post an online poll to choose which song is played as the sing-along at the last Mets game at Shea Stadium and leave a write-in option, do you know what happens?
Yep.
